David Ling recently visited Papua New Guinea as guest ministry to launch the next phase of the Christian Apostolic Fellowship in PNG.

The leadership in PNG, under Pastor Tum Erasi, has established a 5 Year Plan which by the end of 2011 will see the church involved in schools and health services, with a particular target of HIV/AIDS control. In addition the church continues to focus on preaching the gospel and planting churches, these being central to the Great Commission and our Apostolic mandate.

David's visit was followed by another visit by National Leader, Dale Hewitt, who was accompanied by John Muhleisen. Dale and John ministered powerfully and effectively and strengthened the church during their brief time in PNG.

David Ling says, “a call was given by Pastor Tum which stressed that men and women, young people an children are stakeholders in the plan and it will ‘cost us our lives’. We know for sure that God will bring partners into this plan.

David observes that the Apostolic Church in Australia and New Zealand have a strong, historic and unique relationship with the church in PNG which now has churches in 14 provinces, with well over 300 churchesand a membership of over 30,000 people.
